If it ain't broken don't fix it is my opinion. The Guarder clear hopup rubber is commonly held to be the best rubber around for 1J guns, it's nice and soft for it.Īs regards upgrading anything else.

Should I change the piston & bushing as per this thread?Īlso, if I go for a 9.6V battery for the Steyr is there anything I should upgrade to avoid damage in the gun? I know some don't believe in upgrading clones like JG but i'd prefer to do so. Is there anything else I should definitely upgrade on these two guns? I presume both of these would suit the two guns or is the Guarder only for TM+clones? Which is best of these two or is there much difference? What do I need to change exactly? Is it just the bucking or do I need to change the "hop up cushion"? From what i've read the place to start with both guns is a hop up change. The blue cover I painted black, but it traps a lot of heat so I took it off.I want to do some minor upgrades on a JG G36C and CA Steyr Aug. I' m going to research heavier weights so I can get my rpms back to stock. The bike revs higher, it is slow to get up so speed, but top speed is almost 35. My bike is stock, so I did find the need to increase the WOT rpm a bit to to get the centrifugal weights to engage. Very fun! No instalation instructions included, just look up their tutorial on YouTube. I almost doubled my speed, no more loud raspy chains and guides. Haven' t installed it yet waiting for my nbikeĮxcellent product, everything was included and a bolt-in procedure.
